Hey all. I'm wanting to test feedback I would get from a policy for Verify Startup Disk via Self Service. However every Mac I turn to shows no errors because there are no errors.

Does anyone know of a way I can deliberately cause errors on a volume so I can test this?

Maybe start a bunch of large, simultaneous file transfers to a usb volume, then unmount with "sudo umount -f /Volumes/USBdrive" before the transfers complete and then remount it and immediately kill the fsck_hfs process.
