VPPServiceHelper errors in JamfSoftwareServer.log

Forum|alt.badge.img+6

We switched JSS's yesterday and did a revoke of all VPP apps, moved the token from old to new, and re-scoped apps. Most of the "in use" totals are populating but are inaccurate, and some are not reporting at all.

I took a look at the JAMFSoftwareServer.log and I'm seeing hundreds of these errors:

Error managing licenses. ErrorNumber: 9632 , ErrorMessage:Too many recent calls to manage licenses with identical requests

Anyone experience this and have a solution?

I have the same issue too. Same error in the logs. Any solution?

@ipekshev

It turns out that I did not remove the token from the old instance (although the new server had claimed the token) so it was doing redundant VPP calls to Apple.

Deleting the VPP account from the old server fixed the issue for me. Ideally, you should delete the VPP account from the old server before uploading it to the new, after revoking all apps and having license counts drop to zero.

@andykang

there was never another instance, it is completely new JSS installation.

What's your JSS setup like? Was a new token uploaded?

Bump. Seeing this too. Pretty annoying.

Is there a way to make the jamfsoftwareserver.log file more verbose?

EDIT - spoke too soon. There's a debug mode that I'm going to try:
