Back in 2007, Jamf customers started coming together – in email. It wasn’t the most advanced way to gather, but it worked. The purpose was to share knowledge. And for a few years, words of wisdom flowed as the list grew. Jamf Nation was forming and quickly outgrew its simplistic home. That's when Jamf’s founder, Zach Halmstad, shared a bigger vision. Jamf Nation would move to an online platform. In its new format it would: 

 

  • Facilitate customer-to-customer communication 
  • Facilitate customer-to-Jamf communication 
  • Facilitate Jamf-to-customer communication 

 

Fast forward nearly 15 years, and these are still foundational elements of Community at Jamf. But you deserve more than our current platform can offer. That’s why we’re excited to shift Jamf Nation from its current home to a new community offering this summer. Get ready for an elevated look, feel and overall experience. Be ready to: 

 

  • Find what you need more easily 
  • Experience more ways to connect with each other, and Jamf 
  • Enjoy being in Jamf Nation! 

 

Some of our Jamf Heroes got an early look to give us feedback near the beginning of the process, and here’s what they had to say about what they saw: 

“What an eye-catching and engaging set of pages! It makes me want to dive into each section and hints at a newly planned methodology for content management that really makes me curious.” 

“Holy Color Batman! Also, hey, I know those people! How eye catching... but once you get to content, it's very clear and simply laid out.” 

“My first reaction would probably be a sense of inspiration and curiosity, as the space seems intentionally designed to evoke admiration and reflection on the qualities that define a Hero.” 

We hope you like it, too, because every contribution you make strengthens the community. And yes, engaging in Jamf Nation earns you Jamf Nation Rewards points. If you’re a current Jamf customer, and you haven’t signed up for this awesome program yet, do it now in Jamf Account. Just note, while you’ll accumulate points for your actions within Jamf Nation, they won’t appear in Jamf Account until later this summer (because connections take time). After my passion for people drove me to begin writing for my hometown’s newspaper at the age of 12, I worked as a reporter at newspapers in Wisconsin, Iowa and New York before moving back to the midwest. Residing just outside of Minneapolis, Minnesota, I continually try to do what I can to make the world a better, brighter place.
