Not too long ago, I wrote a Tech Thoughts article covering some of my favorite community resources. I wrapped up that post by mentioning a couple of conferences that might be worth your time. Well, it’s time to revisit those — because conference season is upon us! This list is heavily inspired by Jamf’s very own Armin Briegel whom has a fantastic page listing conferences and resources at scriptingosx.com/conferences — and he keeps it well updated!

A Quick Look Back

My personal favorite from last year was JNUC 2024 in Nashville. It was my second time attending, and I already knew a few folks, which made the experience even better. The networking opportunities are truly the highlight. Talking to like-minded professionals and getting insights into how different companies approach challenges — sometimes in very different ways — is incredibly valuable. Also, a special shout-out to the amazing @MusicCityMac Alan West, who was so welcoming and made the Nashville experience extra memorable.

What’s Coming in 2025?

Here’s a look at some of the exciting conferences happening around the world this year:

April

Modern Endpoint Management Summit
April 23–25 | Paris, France
Focused on Microsoft Intune, this summit promises some compelling speakers. If you’re nearby, it’s definitely worth checking out.

May

ACES Conference
May 6–8 | Austin, Texas
I haven’t been yet, but I’ve only heard great things. One to consider if you’re in the U.S.

MacAd.UK
May 14–16 | Brighton, UK
I’ll be speaking here this year — it’s my second time attending. While smaller than JNUC, the content is just as exciting. Hosted by the wonderful folks at Jigsaw24.
Also, don’t miss the legendary afterparty at Shelter Hall!
Bonus: Liamm recently wrote a Tech Thoughts focused on this conference — link here

June

WWDC (Apple Worldwide Developers Conference)
June 9–13 | Online
Unless you win the ticket lottery, this one is virtual-only. Still, it’s an essential watch — especially the keynote and device management sessions — via the Apple Developer app.

MacDevOps YVR
June 11–13 | Vancouver, Canada
I haven’t attended yet, but the buzz is all positive.

July

Penn State MacAdmins Conference
July 15–18 | Penn State, Pennsylvania
I’ve only seen their archived sessions on YouTube (highly recommend!), but I’d love to go in person someday.

August

Mac Admins India (First Edition!)
August 9 | Bangalore, India
A new addition to the global Mac Admin community — exciting to see the growth!

September

X World
September 2–5 | Melbourne, Australia

MacSysAdmin
September 30 – October 3 | Gothenburg, Sweden
Another one on my wish list. The archived sessions are phenomenal, and I hope to make it there soon.

October

Jamf Nation User Conference (JNUC)
October 7–9 | Denver, Colorado
This will be my third time at JNUC, and I can’t recommend it enough. I’ve submitted a speaker proposal, so fingers crossed! Expect stellar sessions, insightful brain dates, and — of course — an epic party.

Objective By The Sea (OBTS)

October 12–17 | Ibiza, Spain
A security-focused conference that rotates between Hawaii and Spain. This year it’s Ibiza — and it’s high on my personal bucket list.

November

Gete.Net Connect
Nov 17–18 | Paris, France
A French-language conference — more details at: connect.gete.net

Bonus Round:

Jamf Nation Live.  These events happen around the world on a smaller scale than JNUC — but they’re just as fun! I’ll be attending the one in London myself (and I even make a brief blurred cameo in the promo video). Definitely worth checking out if there’s one near you.

MacAdmins meet-up. Smaller than a conference but just as lovely to attend! There are MacAdmins usergroups all over the world (look here) which hold regular meet-ups.

Can’t Attend? Watch Online!

Most of these conferences have session archives available on YouTube. So if you can’t attend in person, you can still catch the highlights.

What About You?

Have you attended any of these conferences? Or maybe a different one that deserves a mention? What’s your favorite part — the sessions, the networking, the community? Share your experience — you might just inspire someone else to attend their first one.
