10.6.6 delta update failing

Not applicable

Hi all !

I'm having a software update issue with 10.6.6 (delta)

On all computers, on logout, once a week :
1) Software update policy starts
2) It displays the correct message : softwareUpdateMessage.sh
3) It starts the softwareupdate process
4) SWUP extracts the package
5) SWUP begin patching the system

Then nothing. No error message, the softwareUpdateMessage stays on, the compter doesn't reboot, and the 10.6.6 never gets installed.

Here's some logs :

- If I do the softwareupdate manually, it works fine.
- If I do the softwareupdate manually, and when restarting the policy gets executed, I have the same problem

Any idea ? Have you experienced the same issue ?

Thanks !

Yes, experiencing the same issue, but I haven't had the time to look into it too deeply as not all of our machines are scheduled for the 10.6.6 update. The ones that are, though, are having this problem.

I just sent a message to support about this, I have actually been having
this issue since 10.6.4. It seems completely random and doesn't matter if I
am using my internal SUS or Apple's. I have had it hang on iTunes, Remote
Desktop Client Update, iWork, and 10.6.4-10.6.6. When I image or reimage a
computer, my base image is 10.6.4, and it has no problems installing all of
the updates using my postimage script on the first boot. Doesn't make any
sense...
