I have seen this issue 5 or 6 times in the last week on different 13" MBP. I tried all the fixes I know such as deleting cache files, deleting relevant plist files, even tried installing the combo 10.12.4 update with no luck. These all have FileVault installed. The only way to fix the issue I have found so far is to back up the data, reimage and then put their data back on. I have tried doing a verbose login in and each one seems to stop at Apple Care Reader not found During wakeup. Not found during wake up syncing disks.... Killing all processes come_apple_driver_AppleUSBCardReaderUMC. Restart still waiting on Card Reader.
