Hi List, I'm just realizing that the AD plug-in, Mac OS 10.5 & 10.6, creates
managed preferences for each AD user. These are stored in /Library/Managed
Preferences. There is a folder for the user's short name there and four
.plist files:
com.apple.dock.plist
com.apple.MCX.plist
complete.plist
loginwindow.plist
These seem to be related to the Advanced Options in the AD plug-in
Create mobile account at login
Force local home directory on startup disk
Use UNC path from Active Directory to derive network home location
Default user shell
This site has also been using the JSS to manage preferences and they have
been having mixed results. Do the AD MCX interfere with JSS MCX? Is there a
recommended way to implement JSS MCX for AD users?
Thanks,
