Adding access points

We discovered (after adding several iPad carts) that our network has some holes in it. We are adding access points, but these points will have a different log in and pass word.

For the carts I was thinking it would be better to add the additional wifi policy via Configurator. For staff iPads, could I add the policy via self service? I realized they have to be somewhere in a zone to get the policy.

Am I missing something? We are going set up a whole new network this summer, so this is a temp fix.

Hi @ahopkins,

You could push out both.

iOS prioritises SSID connections based on Authentication type. According to; http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5965

So as long as the staff SSID's authentication is higher in the list, it should connect to that SSID when available.

It's something we'll be looking at, but haven't tested yet.

Hope it helps, & if you do get to try it.. Please report back.
