Adobe Air hanging CS4 Install

Not applicable

Having a problem with deploying CS4 that I can't crack. At times
during the install, whether deployed with Casper Remote or imaging, I
get one of two error messages.

If Adobe Air is not installed, I get an error saying that Adobe Air is
required for this installation.

If Adobe Air 1.5.3.9130 is installed, I get an error saying this
installer requires an unsupported version of Air.

Problem 1 is that air is not required, as once I click through the
error popup, the install continues to completion and all the apps run
just fine.

Problem 2 is that this error is happening 3-4 times per installation,
and each time it stays hung on that error popup until it's clicked
through.

Has anyone encountered this and/or found a solution to this? The
interwebs elude me.

Hi-

I found about a year ago while getting CS4 figured out under Casper 6.x
that if you removed Acrobat Reader and Air, you could do the install.  At
the time, the version of Air that came with Reader was newer than what the
CS4 bits laid down and it caused all kinds of problems. After installing
CS4, if Reader was still needed, you could re-install that and it would
put on the newer version of Air again. This seemed to function ok
afterwards.
