Adobe Digital Editions for epubs

Has anyone had success deploying this using self service or other methods?

The Adobe PKG installer for this is garbage. I recommend a re-package/snapshot with Composer.

We have found the Adobe .pkg file is working correctly but trying to package the "Do check for an activation server" preference .dat file does not like to be moved to a different computer.

~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions/activation.dat

We are having users simply follow the instructions and choose NOT to sign in with an Adobe ID.

Wow, you guys are right, this is a horrible installer package, provided from Adobe, so we're off the hook on it's behavior. ;)

Off to report this to Adobe, but not confident they'll do anything...they appear to have new employees who are taking the "Its not a functional break" position of laziness and inaction.
