Application Installation Choice

Most of our employees are working from home with varying internet connection speeds. There are applications that are required and there are applications that are optional. Is there a way to give users a choice of those optional applications with a nice pick-list?

Most already exist in self service but I'd like to present the user with options in a nicer way once logged in.

Is this exactly what Self Service is intended for? Are you wanting to build a custom enrollment app? That's going to be some custom development.

It's possible to do something a bit crude with a script utilizing the API and some AppleScript. It could pop up a list of Self Service policy names for someone to choose from for example.
But in my opinion, I think it would make more sense to just open the Self Service app on login and let them choose what they want from it.
