Autojoin network fails

I have SCEP configured and can deliver machine certificate and root certificate to Macs fine. The wireless profile states auto join our internal network.
However, connection to internal network fails and only way to get to the internal network is to remove the internal network SSID from the preferred networks and connect/authenticate manually to the network, then it works.
EAP-TLS and machine certificate.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to continue?

This used to work and sound like this what they have seen with version 10.4, but we are still with 10.3.1. And we are experiencing this straight after enrolment / always.

MacOS configuration profiles that include a Network payload configured with 802.1X authentication and the Auto Join checkbox selected fail to automatically connect a computer to the network after the computer leaves sleep mode.
