Is this where i can assign a policy to run on a computer outside of its policy configuration?

So for example if i have a self service policy i can setup the autorun on a certain computer so that computer doesn't need self service to be accessed on that computer to run the policy? Autorun will eventually run the policy? If so what triggers the autorun to run the policy?

I believe if I remember right, autorun data was used back in the imaging days and using Casper/Jamf Imaging.

Yes, AutoRun is a throwback, as @boberito mentioned. It was used during the legacy imaging days. It's not something you need now. It probably shouldn't even be there anymore, but I suppose there might be a small number of people still using the older imaging method with some older Macs.
