Can I design my own action to show under "Take Action on Results"?

Can I design my own action to show under "Take Action on Results" when I display an inventory list?
It would be very useful for me to have the ability to update the department field for a bunch of devices at once.

Do you not see an "Edit Building, Department, or Servers" option in the take action on results drop-down? At least on 8.51 it's there.

Along these lines it would be fantastic if we could bulk update any field for computers. For example, if we have a manual extension attribute or a purchase date that we want to manually input for a batch of computers whose PO are all 50555, this would be extremely helpful. Do-able?

You could probably do bulk field edits by editing the MySQL DB directly.

Alternatively, if it's a set of computers in a particular network scope, you could define the scope, have the segment overwrite the department and then delete that segment. Follow?

I agree!! I'm trying to add PO date for 500 Macs..... And cannot see a way to do this...
