Hi All,
I have been lurking here for some time. I have an issue that I am trying to
resolve.
Have been able to successfully install Casper 6 and get the default
CasperShare mounted without issue, this was several months ago. I have now
installed the Casper 7 Suite on to a 10.6.3 Server but I get an error dialog
regarding the inability to mount the default CasperShare. Is there something
outside of the documentation that I need to do?
Remediation that I have ran though:
I bet it is something simple. HELP!

an error dialog regarding the inability to mount the default
CasperShare.
Curious, are you trying to open Casper Admin from the same server where
the share resides?
It will freak out on you if you do that or if you mount the share
manually first and then try to open Admin it doesn't like that either.
Hope it's this easy for you.

Hey James,
You could try mounting the CasperShare (on a workstation) manually using the
casperadmin credentials (or whichever account you use with read/write
access).
If you can mount it manually, the perms should be ok on the server. From
there I would check the settings within the main distribution point in the
JSS web interface and make sure the user account with read/write access
matches that of your share.
If those don't match, Casper Admin will give you an error and fail to mount
the share..

I am trying to use Casper Admin from a remote system. The DNS and IP is good
because I can manually mount the share using the FQDN.
