Database Size: 495MB on MySQL Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.82

Consistent error accessing Admin application: org.apache.jasper.JasperException: javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space

2 Calls, 2 messages, 1700.00 renewal fee paid last week, no return JAMF Support call.....Sorry to see JAMF becoming one of the few problems in my Apple environment.

Anybody faced the same issue or similar that could throw a bone?
For 2 days now, JSS of no use to me. A reboot seems to clear for a VERY little time.

Stupid question.

If you have a current database backup, have you totally uninstalled and reinstalled from scratch with the setup utility?

Sorry to hear that you haven’t heard back from support...that’s normally not an issue.

No problem, thanks for any direction.

Did not uninstall, Used JSS Utility to update to 7.1 as per included instructions by backing up, and using "update" feature in JSS Utility.

This also happened to us when I updated from 7.01 to 7.1 on Tuesday night.
(Xserve with Mac 10.5.8).

Issues we noticed:
Our JSS website would let you sign, but then wouldn't offer any pages.
Recon.app reported the JSS address was invalid.

There is a Kbase entry about this at:
http://jamfsoftware.com/kb/article.php?id=242

There was a mismatch of information after step 3. It indicates that after
you stop the Tomcat service, the 'install JSS' would appear, but it does
not. I had to click the 'uninstall JSS' button first before the 'Install
JSS' would appear. When uninstalling, there are some options as to what you
want to remove. I don't recall wha the options were, but I did select the
bare minimum. After installing the JSS, my database remained intact.

If you have any questions about this, please contact JAMF support and have
them walk you through this process of uninstalling and then installing JSS.

Had the same problem. I contacted JAMF support and they quickly setup a webex for the next day. They basically had me uninstall all the web stuff (I also forgot the specific options). I left the database stuff intact and after reinstalling the web portion everything came back up fine.

For me it was the PermGen size, which I fixed, but the other problem was the Apache eating all the servers memory which was fixed by the reinstall.
