FYI
I had problem with ShowSUSUdate from resource kit using it in C7 version,
called JAMF and they had to tweak to work with C7.
Pat glad to see you on Casper please update your findings.

This is what I have to done to test the Kernel Panic (which is gone) but
.....
Simulation 001
I installed vanilla 10.5.7 with all the latest & greatest from Apple.
No tweaks nor mods were made.
Used Composer 7.01 to image.
NetInstall Image Creator 3 from O09 Resource Kit
Advanced Option > Launch Terminal when Quit Casper Imaging
Result:
Quit of Casper Imaging does not Kernel Panic.
Launches Terminal.
Can launch Finder open /System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app
When try to launch Casper Imaging cause Error Box:
The operation could not be completed. An unexpected error has occurred
(error code 10822)
Other applications launch fine (QuickTime, Safari, Chess, etc.)
Trying to Restart from Startup Disk Control Panel does nothing. You go
through the whole motion but no effect.
Can only restart from Terminal by typing reboot
End Simulation 001
Simulation 002
Same Image as above
Advanced Option > Launch the NetInstall LaunchPad when Casper Imaging quits
with all LaunchPad privileges.
Result:
Same results as Simulation 001

Advanced Option > Shutdown
Result:
Quit of Casper Imaging does not Kernel Panic.
Machine shuts down properly.
