we use extension attributes to configure certain things via configuration profiles (for example a custom log screen message) . We also use the extension attribute within a managed app configuration to configure a custom in-house app. This all works wonderfully. The problem arises if we change the value on an extension attribute as this does not trigger a reload of the mentioned configuration profiles or the managed app config.
We need to exclude the device from the specific configuration profile and app and then add it back to get the system to use the new value for the extension attribute.
The custom In-house app downloads extensive amounts of data, so we would really like to not have to delete and reinstall it anytime we change an extension attribute for this app.
Is there a way to update the managed app configuration on the fly? Maybe via the API?
