Hi,
We've been using the same account as our management account and our admin tech account. Which isn't very smart if that account would get compromised.
They way I've been doing my testing on how to change this account is to use the built in function in jamf binary to create an account and then hiding it.
After this I've changed the management account on the inventory of my test machine. Which seems to work, since the recon commands still work. But is there anyway of actually checking what account it is using when communicating to the JSS?

The only way currently to know what management account is in use is through an Extension Attribute, but it requires an API account and also can be problematic under certain setups. JAMF has not added it in as a built in criteria, even though its available information in each computer record.
