Cleaning user records from computer that's been erased

With a school district here - for our student laptops we often do a complete erase - upgrade during the summer months where the computers get erased, updated to a newer OS and reconfigured for the new users.  Unfortunately, this is resulting in some ghost records in JSS.  In particular if I look at the list of Configuration profiles (or do reports / smart groups), the computer record in JSS still contains all the records of all the profiles that had been installed on users from the last OS, which no longer exist on the device.

Anyone know of any way to clean these records out without erasing computer, deleting computer record and then setting everything up from scratch?

See sample above - where all these profiles are scoped to uid_9724020007 which no longer exists on this computer.
