Command line example to tell mac client to use a particular open directory server

Hello,

I know you can gui attach an open directory server to a mac client all day long and twice on sunday using the GUI tool directory utility.

Is there a way to do this via command line? if so, can an example be provided.

Thanks

Haven’t used OD in years, BUT the command back in the day was dsconfigldap.

I would suggest reading the man page for that command on your most modern MacOS.

This page is one guy’s command example:

I use this command (same article as above - best reference I have found):
sudo dsconfigldap -sfa server.domain.com -n "server-name" -u directoryAdminName -p "password" -N
