Create all network interfaces without hardware plugged in

Hi

I'm wondering how everyone else approaches this as i'm probably missing something!

At the moment when i image a new Mac i manually plug in an ethernet or thunderbolt adaptor
then either enter admin credentials in the network preferences of run the command
networksetup -detectnewhardware

Is there a way to add all possible network interfaces without having the interface physically available ? it would be great if there's a way to script this.
