Deep Freeze experience

Not applicable

We will soon be deploying Casper here at the college very soon, so I've been
"lurking" on this list for a couple of weeks now.

The college has been using Faronics Deep Freeze for Mac for about three
years. The first OS X versions of the product (originally it was
Windows-only), had significant issues. Now, it's quite stable and plays
nicely with both Tiger and Leopard. It can be easily deployed and managed
through ARD and the program includes a host of scripts to perform a variety
of functions remotely. The scripts perform most of the functions of the
console application in the Windows version. Deep Freeze can also be set to
disable logout requests (it performs a reboot instead). It can also be set
to prevent the Mac from booting from removable storage. Faronics' URL is:
http://www.faronics.com

(This is a re-send. I forgot the [Casper] tag in the subject -- sorry!)
