Hello Everyone,
We just started using Casper here at Parkland College and I was wondering how everyone else was deploying Apple's Final Cut Studio 2 (or 3)? Are you just snapshotting the full installation with Composer or is there a way to create a custom Installer like Adobe CS out of the 8 DVD's for FCS. I have managed to combine the four Adobe DVD's for CS4 Design Premium and create and Adobe installer for that, but I haven't been able to find any info through the JAMF KB or Google for doing that with FCS.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,
We deploy studio here, but you need to make sure you have a volume license installer (min 5 copies I believe) if you don't want to serialize each system you install your package on as that application is typically a hardware specific application.
With the last version I made a regular composer package of just the main application and all the add-on pkg and mpgk installers I put in as is.
It seemed to work, just need to make sure you install the pieces in the right order. Hope that helps. Just got our copy of the new release so I haven't done that, maybe this week.
