Digital Signage

We are looking into Digital Signage but we have an immediate need to be able to display a welcome type message on an AppleTV while offline. So if there a way to configure an AppleTV while online then have it display some type of custom welcome message on a TV while offline?

We're looking at Carousel for Digital Signage but looking to get something for next week so not sure if I can get everything working with Carousel in that time. Any recommendations appreciated.

Depends on how much you want to do with it. A simple welcome message can be achieved with the one @ljcacioppo mentions above. If that's all you want to do then sinking half a used car on Carousel is probably silly(no idea how much you were quoted, but they quoted me nearly $8000 several years ago for a simple project). 

Kitcast and Ditto are also two options that are less expensive than Carousel.

In any case the signage app would run in single app mode and any airplay mirroring directed at an Apple TV would supersede it.

Not sure if you are still looking for solutions, but we built an app for displaying Google Slideshows as Digital Signage on Apple TVs in a really simple way. Let me know if you interested.
