Disable JSS 9 localization

Hi guys,
is there any way to completely disable the JSS 9 localizations? The German translation is, as far I can see, wild guessed, presumably translated with google translator or babelfish and in many cases almost incomprehensible.

As an example, in the tomcat settings the last point "threads" is translated with "Gewinde" which, re-translated in English means something like "winding". I had to think a lot about what the term "Gewinde" could mean in this special case.
It costs us a lot of time to figure out what possibly could be meant by wrong-translated IT-terms.

Any hints?

Thank you!

No idea if this can be done on the server side,
but changing your browser's locale to english should get you an english JSS webinterface.

Hi Gregor,

The quickest fix is here: https://jamfnation.jamfsoftware.com/discussion.html?id=8955 at the end of the discussion.

This does not completely disable the German translations but will show everything for you in English. I will also add 1 other technique that may work better for you.

Thanks John,
beside the fact JAMF is working to improve localizations - it remains still a good idea to provide a switch to disable localizations. I think most of us system administrators are used to the English terms.

A Knowledge Base article on how to change the default language in your web browser and/or disable localizations is now available at:
