Do VPP apps disappear from Self Service when all are installed?

Love to know whether this is a feature or whether if we have 50 licenses and 51 iPads, the 51st person/device will either not be able to see the app in Self Service or it displays a message of sorts?

I could be mistaken, but I believe that as soon as you do a VPP assignment for an app, it consumes a license, whether or not they actually have the app installed.

My experience has been that the 51st iPad will display "Application not available to install" in the JSS management under Pending Commands, but the device will simply say "Pending" with no further explanation.
