El Capitan Dock customization issue

Hi guys,

Having a silly problem when customizing the dock for users.

Problem: I get two download folders on the dock after imaging. One is the proper downloads folder where it fans out, the other is a question mark "?".

Are you guys running into this?

I'm modifying the plist under /Users/Username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist

I'm just testing right now by creating a new policy in Casper and using FUT.

The bad one is probably the one linking directly to the Downloads folder in the account you made the dock on. If they don't have permissions to access that folder, it'll show up as a "?" instead. It's probably best to remove that folder before you pull the plist to deploy.
