Forgive me now, as I am brand new to working with JAMF and a total noob! We have about 250 iPads in our elem building and I wanted to set up a basic email account for all students to use when emailing info/projects to their teachers. It's just student@gmail.com type of thing. So we created a configuration profile and put into the scope on a test batch of iPads. It worked great...clicked on email and sent out a test one! But now I have had one brought into me because they could NOT email from photos. It asks them to configure an email account. When you go to iPad preferences and look at email....it acts like there is no account configured. But IF you manually add the account, THEN go look at Mail preferences, it shows two accounts. Am I missing something? It has the account profile installed, and it works.....why does the iPad not recognize it's existence? Thanks!

Maybe I found the problem....in the configuration profile it gives the option to "Only Use in Mail".....but unable to find documentation that explains these options to me. Could this possibly be the source of my issue?

@MichelleB - That sounds like the issue to me. Clone the profile. Apply it to a test device and then make the change and test.

That was the ticket.....one little check mark and now all apps can use the email configuration profile! YaY
