Has anyone successfully created a script to create an encrypted time machine backup?
We have a mac mini server that we're using as the destination for the TM backups. I'd like to script this so it's silent to the end user and we don't have to touch every laptop. In our use case, I'm using a single share for all backups so would like them to be encrypted so people can't access each other's backups.
I've been fighting it for a few months but cannot get it to work 100% - the biggest issue seems to be auto mounting the share. I can script it to the point it runs great the first time but as soon as I unmount the share (from restarting, etc.) it won't reconnect.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
