We enable Filevault 2 as part of our enrollment process. In order for Filevault to enable, the user needs to log out. We find that users aren't logging out on their own when they receive new machines, therefore recovery keys aren't being sent to Jamf on time. Is there anyway to force a log out once the enrollment is complete? Is there a log out script we can use for this?

You can but the problem is if the user is working on or configuring something else on the machine then it will force quit that process or setup to kick off the file vault.

Its probably best to set up an app that will need a restart in order to complete the process in order to catch both the app configuring and Filevault to complete.

There is always smart groups you can create for first time users machines as well as newly imaged machines
