FileVault and McAfee Drive Encryption

I was curious if there was anyone using both Casper and McAfee Drive Encryption on their devices. We have been trying to figure out how to get the two to play nicely with each other. If you have any experience or tips, we would be happy to learn more or chat further.

Doesn't McAfee just leverage FileVault 2? From reading other people talk about it in previous discussions it sounds like all it does is act as a key escrow server, when in fact Casper already has the functionality already built in.

McAfee's solution does now manage FV2. They abandoned their solution a year or so ago.

If you go down this rabbit hole, you'll be installing another McAfee agent on each machine. For me, that's enough reason to turn and run.

Yes indeed. We saw no reason to put on any more CrapAfee McAfee bloatware on our Macs since Casper manages FV2 just fine. I would not do it.
Though, I suppose now at least they are leveraging Native Encryption <-- (what they call it) and not their own horrid Mac encryption product.
