Get current trigger during policy execution

I've tried various search combinations without much luck.

I am developing a policy to install software during enrollment that we would also like to use to update existing installations using another trigger (logout, startup, etc...), allowing us to use a single policy set to run "once per computer" either during enrollment for the initial installation or at logout for an update installation. It would be useful to be able to read which trigger the policy is currently running under in order to script different behavior if run by the "logout" trigger (simply restart services) vs the "enrollment" trigger (do more complicated stuff).

Is there a way to do this via script parameters, the JAMF binary, or...?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
