High Sierra upgrading Newbie advise

So for the first time ever we are wanting to not have to run around to everyone's laptop and manual upgrade. I am looking at in place high sierra upgrading by caching the installer on the machine then using a script to launch the upgrade process.

Or is there a simpler way?

I know there has been quite a lot of discussion about all of this but I seem to get a tad bit confused with the different ways people are doing it.

Since I am not sure how to really begin I am asking for your advice on how to accomplish the upgrade.

I am also curious as to how everyone deploys High Sierra now. I use to do monolith imaging deployment where I install apps and customise macOS but since Apple has restricted this, I am not sure how we can deploy High Sierra now. Our country still does not have DEP or VPP as of now.

So anyone can share how we can use Casper Imaging to deploy? Does Jamf Pro 10 work for Netboot imaging for High Sierra now?

Thanks.
