Imaging corrupting Macintosh HD

Not applicable

HI all, Casper noob here, but I'm having an issue with imaging.

Full disclosure, I haven't *fully* researched my problem yet, but I'm having an issue where during imaging Macintosh HD is somehow being rendered unreadable. I can fix the problem by opening disk utility from the netboot image, erasing Macintosh HD so that it's mountable again, and then starting the imaging process. This will work for another imaging session or two, but then happens again.

Since testing this takes a while, I'm just sending out a feeler to see if anyone else has run into it and has a suggestion for something to look at.

Thanks,

Is your NetBoot image configured to be "Diskless"?

I'm not sure what you're using to initially partition/format your disks, but
even with Leopard, you must format your volumes with the GUID partition
scheme for Intel Macs and with the Apple partition scheme for PowerPC Macs.

Surprisingly, I've found that a GUID partition can still boot a PowerPC Mac
and vise versa, however, the volumes are unavailable in Startup Disk.

Hope this helps!
