iWorks.dmg inside of imaging installs with the image but does not work

When imaging I have an iWorks.dmg that installs Pages, Keynote, and Numbers during the imaging process. It goes through the imaging process restarts the iMac but when I go and search for the programs, for example Pages it not there. I then go to the App Store to see if it installed and when I look it says that Pages is installed.

Open terminal and do a 'ls -al /Applications' command (no quotes). Do you see Pages in that listing?

Are the other suite apps installed? (Numbers and Keynote)...

If you manually mount the dmg, do you see the three apps there? can you launch them?

Yes it says that pages, keynote, and numbers are installed but I can't open pages the other 2 I installed manually because the imaging didn't install them like it was supposed to. It installed pages but that is the one I can't access and on other computers its the same way but just different ones are installed. For example numbers will be installed by the image, which I can't access but then I have to manually install Keynote and Pages and they work fine.

Did you use Composer to create the iWorks.dmg file? What version of Pages, Numbers and Keynote are you trying to install? Did the apps come from the Mac App Store or did you get them from an old Apple installation DVD?

Yes composer was used, version 5.1 and from the mac app store

it sounds like those apps are keyed to the Mac you downloaded them on and won't work on other Macs. The link above should give you some insight on how to prevent this and get it to work "universally," but in short - download the app but do not open it. Throw it into composer, make the dmg, and deploy. While that should work, you can further anonymize the apps by going into each .app/Contents and deleting the _MASReceipt folder.
