We recently needed to deploy Java 7 u17 from Oracle as the Apple Java on our OS X 10.7.4 computers just wasn't being recognized by a particular website.

So I simply downloaded the file from Oracle and uploaded the .pkg file into Casper as I had with Apple's. The policy was scoped to just or student OS X 10.7.x computers.

However, I'm getting a bizarre error from them all and hoping some else has seen this:

/usr/sbin/jamf is version 8.61
Executing Policy Install JavaForOSX 10.7...
Mounting afp://xxx.xxx.xx.xx/CasperShare to /Volumes/CasperShare...

Installation failed. The installer reported: installer: Package name is Java 7 Update 17
installer: Certificate used to sign package is not trusted. Use -allowUntrusted to override.

I can run this same file directly just fine on a computer and get no errors, so I'm a little bit baffled why this happening.

Any thoughts?

I had hoped it would be moot now, but I'm getting the same error with u21!
However, it's not all computers, just some of them.
