Hi Jamf Nation,
I am looking to implement Anti-Virus software for Mac. The one I liked so far is Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud. However, I have some questions and their support is no responding (not a good sign). I have been doing the trial of Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud for macOS 10.15 but it expires in a day. We have about 100 Macs that need it. I need to remotely deploy it through Jamf Pro, not self-service because they will not install it on their own. So far, I set up a Policy to install Kaspersky Endpoint Security.dmg with a recurring check-in once per computer. I did a Configuration Profile with Approved Kernel Extensions below.
Kaspersky 4
com.kaspersky.kext.mark.1.0.6
Kaspersky 3
com.kaspersky.kext.klif
Kaspersky 2
com.kaspersky.kext.kimul
Kaspersky 1
com.kaspersky.nke
As well as System Extensions of
com.kaspersky.nke
com.kaspersky.kext.kimul
com.kaspersky.kext.klif
com.kaspersky.kext.mark.1.0.6
I am able to install it through JAMF and it opens on their Mac. Kaspersky seems to have two parts to its cloud trial, Kaspersky Business Hub, and Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud for our company with Device, Users, Distribution packages, etc. However, I don’t know how to get devices and users associated with this Jamf Pro installation. The only other way I see to install this is to add a user to Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud for our company, go to Users, click Add users, put in their email and it emails a link out to them. As I mentioned though, this will not work for us because people will not install it on their own. It has to be pushed out through Jamf Pro and managed through there and/or their cloud. Has anyone out here successfully installed this for macOS 10.15? If not, I am open to other Anti-Virus software suggestions. Again, ideally, it should be cloud-based and has to be deployed from Jamf Pro and fully managed through the cloud and/or Jamf Pro and virus definitions automatically updated.
Thank you in advance. John
