Keeping track of configurations in multiple JSS environments

Forum|alt.badge.img+12

Our environment currently has multiple JSS environments. I am trying to come up with a process of keeping track of the changes with each JSS environment. I would appreciate hearing any ideas on this subject.

For example, I started with JSS > Settings > JSS Summary. Ideally, rather than saving each JSS Summary in a separate document (and comparing four documents), it would be great if:

1) The process was automated (script, magic, etc).
2) The individual categories (Policies, Managed Preferences, Restricted Software, PreStages, etc) could be compared with one another. For a possible visualization in spreadsheet format, imagine a spreadsheet with multiple sheets, where each sheet represents a specific category (Policies, Managed Preferences, etc).

I can use an application like BBEdit to compare two documents, however, I was wondering what other options may exist.
