I've successfully written a script which installs colour and mono Richo printers and all the required cups options. This works for 9 out of ten macs and saves a huge amount of time and has been tested on multiple mac os's.
One out of ten printer installs using this script re tries the print queue when attempting to print and this loops without end until the queue is stopped and deleted. Authentication to the AD is fine. The only way to get this working is to take out the printers and install manually using the same cups options.
This isn't a big deal just an annoyance but I would like to find out why. I don't at the moment have any logs to put onto this forum as I believe this would be the first place to start. But any ideas would be gratefully received.
