Locked 2007 MacBook

I have a mid 2007 MacBook with X10.7.5 but because I use as a typewriter for documents and photos I don’t use as often so I locked my self out. I tried Com/r but it’s wants the user password when I press com/s or shows a lock and wants password when I use com/r. Problem I need the files in the hard drive so I don’t want to wipe it clean and start again. Also it doesn’t have original drive it’s a SSD. Can you help. I only have an iPhone X and a iPad Pro 2019.

I gather you can't remember the password?

Provided the disk is not encryped, you possibly could remove the disk from the machine and put it in either a cheap hard drive enclosure or a disk caddy and then connect that to someone elses mac and get your files off it.

Others may have better ideas - good luck.
