Looking for good mass email program

I just had two secretaries switch from PCs to Mac and in the process
lost the software they were using to send weekly email updates to all
the students' parents. I am desperately looking for an easy to use mass
email program that works on the Mac. No html framework or anything that
would stress out someone not terribly good with computers. It just
needs to send emails and add attachments when necessary as well as be
able to pull the list of email addresses from Excel. Thanks to anyone
that can help!!

+1 for Mail Chimp.

We use it in our Community Ed programs. For our schools and teachers, we use the ConnectED system from BlackboardConnect.

It automatically pulls enrollment out of our Student Information System to keep all of the class lists straight for emergency notifications.

To make this an on-topic post, we then rolled out the shortcut to our login via Casper so we didn’t need to train anyone on how to get there...

We use a third party CMS system called school loop www.schoolloop.com
which has mass email, groups, online grade books, and so forth. I am
told from the powers that cut checks that it is dirt cheap too.

Synrevoice is a great product for automating phone calls of absences and
notifications. It can also do mass emailing as well.
