Dear All
First off, apologies for the long post. Second off, I'm a little short of time so I haven't been able to through my full attention to the problem so any thoughts or advice would be great.
We have a Lion 10.7.2 image that I created from a 17" MacBook Pro. I installed the OS, ran the combo updaters, repaired the permissions and target booted it and used Composer 8.3.1 to create the image. On the same MacBook Pro I then deleted load of Applications I didn't need as didn't want a massive netboot set when I am using it purely to boot into. I then used Apples SUI and the netboot creator workflow. I don't have access to all hardware so I tested it on our spare MacBook Pro's and my iMac. However, when I deploy it to a rev 2 MacBook Air (11" or 13"), not long after it has rebooted and I've logged in, it kernel panics with mdworker. Looking at Spotlight, it spends a little time estimating indexing time and then says 10 mins and kernel panics.
Has anyone seen this or can see what I'm doing wrong… for those deploying macbook airs do you have a dedicated build for those that were created on the airs? I thought since 107.2 images were no longer forked.
Any advice gratefully received
Many thanks
Karen
