macOS updates and Apps updates

Hi All,

I have two questions about updates for macOS and the Apps and was wondering how are you all managing them in JAMF PRO?

1. For macOS in-place upgrades/updates, as far as I can see there is no proper built in method within JAMF PRO where i can set certain parameters for example start upgrading macOS to Big Sur from this date, give user a notification to either start now or postpone up until an end date. I know there is scripts to use but there is nothing built in? Recently I saw a new 3rd party mdm tool having a feature as how i described and thought maybe I am missing something here on JAMF PRO :S

2. For Apps updates, for example using patch management it looks like there is no automation to it and I need to package it all myself everytime there is a new update then create a new patch policy. It is good for reporting, that i can say.

@mark.mahabir thank you. I believe from this, I am right that Jamf doesn't have such features built in however I will look into using some 3rd party tools.
