I have found linux to be just as good as running the JSS as OS X server was - Give linux a go if you want to have some fun

Would you be able to share some of the details of your windows-based JSS issues?

Tomcat shuts down on its own with almost no information, MDM doesn't work correctly, and its just been very slow. We are mainly a Windows shop so we have very talented Server guys but its just not up to snuff quite yet. Once we reinstalled on the Mac it was like the heavens opened up.
