Is there any mechanism within Casper for monitoring and alerting?
i.e. Server down, or hard drive close to full, Casper or some script sends an email/text message
If not, what are some of you guys using to know if a server goes down overnight or over a weekend, etc.
Thanks,
-Henry

You can send alerts on SMART error, disk full, but you can't get granular on which alerts go to which people.

Used InterMapper (http://www.intermapper.com) for years. Moving to Lithium 5 in a month:

+1 for LIthium. Been using it for 3 yrs now and it works great.
And also Intermapper, although I use it for NetFlow monitoring on our
Internet connection.
