NAS SMB mount and El Capitan Problems

I have an interesting situation that my team and I have been stuck on for the last couple weeks. We have a department that uses an NAS for all their files. We upgraded a user to El Capitan for testing and the first thing we noticed was all our NAS mounts were doing a connect/disconnect dance. Once they are mounted, a red "Access Denied" symbol appears on the folder, 5 seconds later it goes away and then reappears and so on and so on.

Tried mounting with CIFS and that sorta works but still have intermittent disconnects, just not as often.

I have also tried changing the SMB stack to SMB1 but that had the exact same problem.

Another interesting things is these are all late 2015 iMacs having this problem. The new late 2015 MacBooks we have deployed have no problems with NAS mounts. Also, if we mount a Windows server it stays connected just fine. It appears to only be the NAS mounts.

Has anyone else run across this? Anyone figure out a solution if they have?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
