Hi-
We've got clients on 10.6.2, bound to AD, AD user who logs in is an Admin.
If the user tries to set up SMB file sharing, they're always greeted with
'incorrect password' when setting up the account to share via SMB. Local
accounts or sharing only accounts work just fine. Problem is, I don't know
where to start because nothing's being dumped into console to give me a
clue.
Anyone ever see this? A tad frustrating :)

I'll check it out. In doing some poking around, it looks like it's an
existing issue that has been around since at least 10.4.

We have been in contact with Apple on this and they are working on it with engineering. Still another bug to fix before it is “completely” fixed. There are also WebDav issues that started with 10.5.8. They are working with us to fix that as well. Needless to say we are advising against people upgrading to 10.6 til this issue is resolved.

Well the standard rule is NEVER to go into a production environment
till the OS reaches 10.x.4 and this again shows why

Any chance it relates to this problem?

Ran into that problem on Friday and had to disable named streams for one of
our test pilots. If 10.6.3 addresses it, I'll hold off any further upgrades.
