I followed the directions from the offieformachelp.com site on deploying Office 2011 via casper and I've hit a snag. I just looked over the slides again and I'm wondering if my changes to the deployment method are causing the issues I'm seeing. So I've created a pkg that places both the Office Installer.mpkg.zip and choices.xml into /private/tmp. Then I have a postflight script that unzips and installs. Here is where things get weird, well sort of. This install works when launched locally and when run over Self Service & Remote in Snow Leopard. But when I try installing via Self Service or Remote in Leopard it fails with a postflight error. Is there something I am missing here?
Side note, it's not just this installer. I'm finding that my pkg files that are running over Self Service are also failing when running in Leopard. I only just noticed because my Self Service pilot group has been Snow Leopard only. Guess I have to add some older systems to the pilot.
Thanks
Allen

Apologies to you and everyone else for not yet posting a detailed page for

What is the postflight error you're seeing? Typically, this is a result
some part of the postflight script that isn't coded correctly. Could be
you need single quote instead of a double-quote or vise versa. Could be
you need to escaper a quote with a "" character. Those are the usual
culprits.
The "exit 0" at the end of the script, however, cleanly ends the script
regardless of whether or not some part of it fails. Casper Remote and Self
Service typically report results as they progress through the script,
which is probably why you're seeing errors some of the time. The script is
probably erring ALL of the time.
If you can send me your script, I'll be glad to look it over for you.
