Hello,
I am having trouble getting JAMF to run an update on machines. I am able to get it to download the installer, but then not install it. Here is what i did:
I then waited patiently for the machine to pick up the policy on check-in and then it downloads the package and then it displays the completed message, but it never actually installs the update. Please help!

Here is what I do with locally hosted JAMF 9.101:
1. Download the combo installer: https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1931?locale=en_US
2. Open the downloaded .dmg file to expose Apple's .pkg file within.
3. Upload it to the server by dragging Apple's .pkg file into Casper Admin. Save.
4. Within the JSS web interface, create a policy that (1) installs Apple's .pkg file and (2) restarts immediately. Set the frequency to "once per computer". Set the policy without triggers, but instead make it available via Self Service. (After a designated time period in which end-users can install it at their convenience, I force the installation by enabling the trigger of "recurring check-in".)
5. Set the scope. Save.

Where is the step where you upload the package to the server?

Thanks @dmohs for the info. On the side note, do you notice a little lag in finder after the new update rolled out in High Sierra ?
